Frenchman Julien Leroy first washed up in the Brasilian Northeast some eight years ago. Born in the Chad Julien felt a strong connection to the African roots of São Luís and thus decided to settle and found Terra Nordeste.

The agency specialises on bespoke, individual tours with a keen eye on sustainability and close interaction with the local community.
